Why sell your gold and silver with Peebles Auction House?

  • We have been trading since 2014

  • We’re on your side as we work off commission, the more you make, the more we make!

  • Our catalogues reach international buyers. We regularly have buyers from Ireland, France, USA and even further away countries like Japan and Australia!

  • We sell to a wide open market with pieces often reaching values beyond their scrap value that you’d be offered by private buyers

  • We have regular auctions every two weeks

What we services do we offer?

  • We offer free no obligation valuation on all items going to auction from jewellery and silver to watches and coins and much more

  • Valuation experts with a decade of experience valuing jewellery, silverware, costume jewellery, coins, medals and militaria

  • Postage valuations

  • Home visits

How does it work?

  1. Once we receive the items either through a visit to the auction room, postage or home collection, our valuers will go through each item and produce a valuation and a recommended lot (lower value items we will place in similar themed groups)

  2. You will receive a full listing of everything due for auction with valuations and can withdraw items if you are not happy with the valuation. Please note at this stage, a lot of the items will have a base price but will often sell for higher than the lower guide. You can place reserves on items that you wish only to be sold if a certain price is reached.

  3. Your lots will then be photographed and entered into the next available auction. Once the catalogue is ready, you’ll receive email confirmation of all lots going into auction and then it’s auction day

  4. You can follow along online or in person on auction day to see how your lots are doing

  5. Once all the payments for your lots have come in, then we will pay out straight to your designated bank account
